Too good to be true…

So long Airborne. Even I believed it at one point.

The Airborne dietary supplement, which claims to help ward off the cold and flu, has reached a tentative settlement in a class action lawsuit that the company misrepresented its product. You can file online or by mail here. Boxes of Airborne used to cite a study by “GNG Pharmaceutical Services Inc” that said it tested 120 people and 47% showed little or no cold flu symptoms, versus 23% of a placebo. – The Consumerist

I blame Oprah…

The good news is that they are paying us back for up to 6 boxes of the product if you file for a refund. I should be getting $34 back.

I would love to hear about the things you’ve tried and thought worked, but later learned they didn’t.

  1. I will still choose to believe a fizzy drink that tastes awful will protect me from ALL viruses and bacteria – haven’t caught ebola or anthrax yet so something must be working.

Cut to me being the target audience for any marketing campaign. I should be studied behind a glass wall.

  2. The only think worse than colds are lawyers.
