More Geekiness!

For the Twitterers,

Did you know that the Mars Rovers are on Twitter?  They are and it’s pretty cool.  If you’d like to follow them, you can search for @MarsPhoenix and @MarsRovers

The story so far:

Mars Phoenix is nearing the end of it’s 90 day mission and will soon be frozen in ice until spring.  It has what’s called a Lazarus program that will hopefully make contact again if it wakes up next spring.  Sort of like Wall-E…

Mars Spirit and Opportunity have been on the surface for more than 1600 days and they were only supposed to be on 90 day missions.  (And people say that NASA can’t build anything that works any more?)

So there you have it!  I’m pretty excited about being able to follow them.  Hmmm… Maybe I should send them nudges every day.
